- announcement from maam dinah: I need to meet the whole class for about 10 minutes in the morning of 3 November 2009 at the Math Faculty Center (MFC) to (1) collect 3HW3, (2) distribute copies of the problem set due on 4 November 2009 at 820AM, and more importantly, (3) draw lots for your group report on Nov 11/12.
Class presidents (or highest ranking officer present on 3 Nov) must make the arrangements with the class and inform me the soonest possible. I will be at the MFC most of the day. - submit econ draft paper for the report/project/whatever.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE FOR THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF NOVEMBER
3 Nov Tue 10 minute class (submit 3HW3, get 3PS1, group report guidelines)
4 Nov Wed submit signed grade computation and 3PS1 (pigeonhole)
9 Nov Mon no math class (NCE)
10 Nov Tue make-up class (7:30AM or 8:20AM during your break)
answer 3HW3 and 3PS1
11/12 Nov W/Th reporting
13 Nov Fri 3LE1
REPORTING GUIDELINES
4-6 minute report that explains the solution to the assigned problem. Penalty of 10% for every minute beyond the time allotment. This includes set-up of presentation and a 1-minute question-and- answer portion at the end of the discussion.
Must have a digital presentation (visual aid). You may use powerpoint, flash, beamer, etc.
Formal attire with snacks is a definite plus factor (";)
5-6 members per group to be determined by drawing lots on Nov 3.
2-3 presentors only, 1 will check the accuracy of the solution/presentati on, 1 will make the digital presentation, 1 will answer the questions at the end of the discussion.
